The 2nd International Workshop for the EMRP Metrology for Liquefied Natural Gas project (ENG03) was held in East Kilbride in October 2011. At the workshop the JRP-Coordinator Oswin Kerkhof delivered two presentations on: the 'Metrology for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project' and 'Towards Industrial Scale LNG Calibration Facilities'. The ENG03 project aims to strengthen the measurement framework for LNG with an expected halving of measurement uncertainties, and will also disseminate knowledge through training, workshops and contribution to international standards and guidelines.
Other presentations at the workshop included: Field Experience LNG Service; Measurement of LNG by Dynamic Methods; Measurement of LNG Density by Radar Tank Gauge; LNG Sampling pipe line to analyser; Field test of a Raman application for LNG; and Mass & Energy Balancing at LNG Receiving Terminals.
