The 6th International Symposium on Metallomics 2017 will be presented in Vienna, Austria. The field of metallomics embraces many disciplines beyond analytical chemistry, such as biology, biochemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, toxicology and biomedical sciences addressing the role of metals in life sciences. Metallomics 2017 will provide a multidisciplinary platform covering all aspects from method development to the role of metals in life science.
Results from EMPIR project (15HLT02 ReMiND) Role of metals and metal containing biomolecules in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease will be presented at the conference. This project will establish new reference measurement procedures for established biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid, found in the brain and spine, while also introducing procedures for potential new blood-based biomarkers.
