Ultrasound can treat a range of conditions, with recent developments including new treatments for cancer, stroke and bone repair. EMRP project Dosimetry for Ultrasound Therapy (HLT03 DUTy) will support an increase in the use of ultrasound treatments by establishing measurements, reference standards and modelling techniques to build traceability for exposure to ultrasound and the dose to tissue.
HLT03 JRP-Partners presented the results of the JRP at AIA-DAGA 2013 the 40th Italian (AIA) Annual Conference on Acoustics and the 39th German Annual Conference on Acoustics (DAGA). The conference provided a review of recent developments on hot topics as well as some thoughts about future trends and aims to contribute, not only to the technical and scientific progress on acoustics, but also to improve the cooperation, using the joint experiences acquired at international level.
