EMPIR project results to be presented at International Conference on Acoustics

9 – 13 September 2019, Aachen, Germany

EMPIR project ‘Metrology for modern hearing assessment and protecting public health from emerging noise sources’ (15HLT03, Ears II) has used results from earlier EMRP project ‘Metrology for a universal ear simulator and the perception of non-audible sound’ (HLT01 Ears) to further develop and validate the innovative universal ear simulator concept in readiness for clinical practice.

Results from the project will be presented at the 23rd International Congress on Acoustics. Members of the EMPIR project consortium will chair the session entitled ‘High-frequency and ultrasonic emissions in air: Applications, measurement and human well-being’ where project results related to human exposure to ultrasound, and the effects of ultrasound on humans will also be presented.
