Objective
The objective of the course is to teach the participants on basic measurement techniques and elements of mass metrology.
The 2.5 day course will comprise of a combination of formal lectures and practical sessions.
Who should attend
Less experienced mass metrology staff from EURAMET NMIs and DIs. Participants are expected to have basic knowledge of mass measurements.
The course programme will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to the international mass scale
- Traceability, weight inspection and weight handling
- Weighing techniques
- Balance assessment
- Air density measurement and buoyancy correction
- Uncertainty calculation
Detailed programme will be prepared after the registration is completed. Participants are requested to explain their priorities in the registration form, based on description of possible topics in the training plan.
