The 15th European Conference on Applications of Surface and Interface Analysis (ECASIA’13) biannual conference is aimed at, and intended for, those using surface analytical, surface specific or surface sensitive techniques for applied purposes. The following EMRP projects will be presented at the conference:
- Metrology for the characterisation of biomolecular interfaces for diagnostic devices (HLT04 BioSurf) will meet the needs of diagnostic device manufacturers by providing guides, standards and protocols, improving in vitro diagnostics for cost-effective healthcare, point-of-care monitoring and personalised medicine. JRP HLT04 will be part of, and JRP-Partner NPL will Chair, a special two day session on Biosurfaces at ECASIA’13.
- Traceable quantitative surface chemical analysis for industrial applications (IND15 SurfChem) will develop reference materials and methods for the highest priority industrial applications, leading to savings in industrial costs and time.
- Chemical and optical characterisation of nanomaterials in biological systems (NEW03 Nano ChOp) will develop methods to characterise nanomaterial properties in biological environments.
