The conference brings together scientists, and industrial researchers and entrepreneurs, dealing in the Materials, Large Scale and Electronics aspects of applied superconductivity. The results from a variety of EMRP projects will be presented at the conference including:
- Quantum ampere: Realisation of the new SI ampere (SIB07 Qu-Ampere) will develop state-of-the-art Single Electron Transport (SET) devices, which generate electric current by moving only one electron at a time, and by combining them with detectors to create quantum current sources for use as standards.
- A quantum standard for sampled electrical measurements (SIB59 Q-WAVE) will develop a measurement system for the dynamic calibration of the latest generation of convertors for the electronic sensing sector.
