The European Electromagnetic Materials Measurements and Applications Club (EMMA-Club) has been created to promote knowledge, good practice and know-how for dielectric and electromagnetic materials measurement. The specific remit of the EMMA-Club is to ensure that dielectric measurement research activities at the European National Measurement Institutes (NMIs) will have real impact in supporting European Industries. The first meeting of the EMMA-Club will be held in June 2012 in Paris.
The meeting will introduce the EMRP project EMINDA - Electromagnetic Characterisation of Materials for Industrial Applications up to Microwave Frequencies (IND02) to members. The IND02 project aims to produce new measurement techniques to assess electromagnetic materials used in the fastest electronic applications and support innovation in the European electronics industry by providing reliable nano, micro and macroscale measurements needed to cope with the increasingly fast operational speeds of electronic devices.
