EMRP project Realisation of the awaited definition of the kilogram - resolving the discrepancies (SIB03 kNOW) aims to support the redefinition of the kilogram in terms of fundamental physical constants. It will do this by understanding and remedying the error between the European watt-balance determination of the Planck constant and the Avogadro determination.
The XX IMEKO World Congress will be hosted by KRISS (the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science) in September in Busan, Korea. The theme of the conference is Metrology for Green Growth and its purpose is to bring together academia, researchers and engineers to share achievements, ideas and their vision on metrology. At the conference, JRP SIB03 will present a paper and poster on 'The new watt balance experiment at METAS'.
