The EMRP attended Industrial Technologies 2012 in Aarhus, Denmark, on 19-21 June 2012. The congress had over 170 speakers from the nano, materials and production technology communities and attracted over 820 representatives from research and industry.
At the Congress, the EMRP took part in the Matchmaking Day and gave a presentation entitled ‘The European Metrology Research Programme - Industrial innovation and collaboration’. The presentation examined the role of the EMRP and its impact so far, collaboration with industrial organisations as part of the EMRP, and also promoted EMRP Call 2012 – Industry. The EMRP’s presentation was part of the Quality in Industry session, which focused on ‘ensuring that Europe maintains its well deserved reputation for high quality manufacturing through new tools and approaches to metrology…as well as the development and adoption of standards’. The session included speakers from BIPM, CEN CENELEC and the NanoManufacturing Institute.
