This workshop is organised by the EURAMET TC-Flow (TC-F) and the Flow Measurement Institute (FMI) to explore the flow measurement research priorities of industry, as a direct evidence base for a range of research funding collaboration opportunities.
Goal of the workshop
The goal of the workshop is to bring together National Metrology Institutes (NMIs), industry and academia to discuss priorities, Potential Research Topics (PRTs) and to form consortia. The workshop will initially facilitate submission of PRTs to the EMPIR Industry call, which funds metrology oriented research programs (deadline late February 2017).
EMPIR Industry Call
The European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR) is a metrology-focused European programme of coordinated R&D that facilitates closer integration of national research programmes. The overall strategic aim of the Targeted Programme “Metrology for Industry” is to develop measurement methods and techniques for industrial applications. It is aimed at driving innovation in industrial production and facilitating new or significantly improved products through exploiting knowledge in the European measurement institutes. The innovations shall improve the competitiveness of European industry and shall lead to increased economic turn-over.
