International Conference of the European Society for Precision Engineering & Nanotechnology

EMRP project Thermal design and time-dependent dimensional drift behaviour of sensors, materials and structures (IND13) was presented at the 12th European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (EUSPEN) conference in Stockholm, Sweden from 4-8 June 2012. The conference brought together researchers and developers from micro and nano research and covered topics in Precision Engineering of Plastic based Electronics and Optronics, High Precision Mechatronics, Novel Advances in Precision Engineering & Nano Technologies and Nano & Micro Metrology.

The aim of the project IND13 is to increase understanding of measurement drift over time, improve temperature control and improve thermal design to meet industrial demands. By performing thermal modelling on a prototype device, the project will explore how devices can be improved to increase their measurement stability over time and with changes in temperature.
