EMRP project Thermal design and time-dependent dimensional drift behaviour of sensors, materials and structures (IND13 T3D) will use thermal modelling of a prototype measurement device to improve temperature control and thermal design and increase our understanding of measurement drift.
At the International Conference on Space Optics (ICSO2012), IND13 presented the results of the project as a poster and conference proceeding on ‘Dimensional stability validation and sensor calibration with sub-nanometer accuracy’. ICSO is the largest meeting worldwide of experts working in all disciplines of Optical Instrumentation, Optoelectronic and Photonic Technologies for Space Applications. The objective of this conference is to bring together the Space Optics Community and exchange information on new instrument developments and ideas on the Research, Development, Qualification and Flight Experience of using optical technologies for space missions.
