EURAMET and EMRP representatives attended the International Congress of Metrology in Paris, France, on 3-6 October 2011.
EURAMET was a co-sponsor of the event, which attracted approximately 1000 scientists, academics, quality managers and measurement professionals. At the conference, EURAMET had an exhibition stand, hosted a session of talks entitled EMRP: Meeting the industrial challenges of tommorow and displayed posters for each of the 21 iMERA-Plus projects. These projects finished in 2011 and produced a wide range of significant impacts in metrology, industry and other fields of research (e.g. healthcare). To find out more please go to the EMRP publicity page where all the posters can be downloaded.
Other talks at the conference explored the future of metrology in the 2020s, in which EURAMET will play a major role, as well as energy challenges and the role of metrology in industry. The event increased awareness of EURAMET’s work and highlighted the importance of collaborative metrology research projects and associated researcher grants, such as those funded by the EMRP.
