Accurate chemical measurements at surfaces are vital for developing corrosion resistant materials, assessing the toxicity of medical implants and designing industrial catalysts. EMRP project Traceable quantitative surface chemical analysis for industrial applications (IND15 SurfChem) will develop reference materials and methods for the highest priority industrial applications, leading to savings in industrial costs and time.
IND15 JRP-Partners will be presenting the results of the JRP at this symposium. This symposium falls under a series of international symposia surface chemical analysis whose scope covers the present status and future prospects of surface-analytical techniques in various practical and fundamental fields. Special emphasis is placed on difficulties that have arisen from the application of surface-analytical techniques.
