The EMRP project Metrology for Solid State Lighting (ENG05) presented work on the determination of junction temperature based on spectral measurements at the Strategies in Light Europe industry conference in Milan, Italy. The conference attracted over 900 registered attendees from the solid state lighting industry and provided a platform to share knowledge and experiences and to discuss the latest technologies. Presentations were delivered on: initiatives and technologies that improve the quality and performance of LED lighting; activities that help accelerate the market adoption of LED lighting; and results from direct experiences of LED lighting applications.
The conference theme was 'Improving the Quality and Performance of LED Lighting' which is central to the aims of the ENG05 project. The project aims to support the implementation of solid state lighting, such as LED lighting, throughout Europe with the validation of new guidelines and standards.
