EMPIR project (14RPT03 ENVCRM) Matrix reference materials for environmental analysis will develop the capacity to produce certified reference materials (CRMs) for environmental analysis by transferring the theoretical and practical know-how between project partners and combining their skills.
Results from the project will be presented at the workshop. The workshop aims to bring together researchers with an outlook for initiating news collaborations. The traceability of the k0 method and how its quality assurance, k0 data libraries and k0 software can be improved will be discussed. There will be able opportunities for k0-NAA knowledge exchange, reflection and discussions. The k0 method is used to standardise NAA using “universal k factors”, where the essential information for a gamma ray emitted by any nuclide produced by neutron activation would be contained in the k0 factor.
