EMPIR project ‘Metrology for inductive charging of electric vehicles’ (16ENG08, MICEV) is working to accurately measure the efficiency of inductive power transfer, and provide the means to reliably demonstrate compliance with existing safety standards for human exposure. The project will also develop the measurement tools needed in the development of high-efficiency couplers needed for inductive charging of electric vehicles.
Results from the project will be presented at the one-day training course, which includes the following sessions:
- IPT systems, technologies, and standards
- Modelling the electrical system (converters)
- Electrical measurement and efficiency
- Numerical dosimetry, exposure in real cases and uncertainty in numerical dosimetry
