The pressures used in some modern industrial systems are higher than the current European calibration capability, which is limited to around 1 GPa. EMRP project High pressure metrology for industrial applications (IND03 HighPRES), aims to develop new standards to extend the calibration capability to 1.6 Gpa, thereby supporting the use of high pressure technologies and improving product quality.
A workshop for the project was organised on 14 June 2012 at CMI (Czech Metrology Institute) in Brno, Czech Republic. The objective of the workshop was to share new ideas within the metrological and industrial communities to promote application of high pressure technologies across Europe.
