On-site peer review of IMBiH (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The rules of the CIPM MRA require that the NMIs implement and operate a Quality Management System (QMS) complying with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard to support their calibration activities. Peer review will cover QMS, calibration capabilities in the field of laboratories with implemented QMS of two partners: IMBiH and UME. The first activity which will be performed within this peer review for checking the status of transition and preparation of the road map for simplification of integrated QMS of IMBiH that meets the requirements of the newest edition of ISO/IEC 17025, as well as ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17043 on the platform of ISO 9001 certification with the further consideration of implementation of the reuirements of the ISO 17034 standard.
Technical experts from UME will carry out on-site peer review of IMBiH and vice versa where applicable, in accordance with the requirements of the CIPM 2007-25 document and EURAMET “Guide for on-site visits by peers in the frame work of CIPM MRA“ (G-TCQ-PRC-006).
Peer review is scheduled for August 2019. The first results of peer review will be reported to EURAMET TC-Q during annual meeting in 2020. This project is intended as on-going.

Travel, accomodation and local costs will be covered by UME and IMBiH, depending on who is hosting institution.


Progress Report 2020-10-27

Peer review was carried out as on-site visit from 27 to 29 of August 2019. Peer review was performed by Dr. Enver Sadikoğlu from TÜBİTAK Ulusal Metroloji Enstitüsü (UME), Turkey. The conclusions of the peer review were presented in the Annual report for the year 2019, which was submitted by IMBIH to Technical Committee for Quality (TC-Q). Other visits will be planned and organised based on further requests from project partners.
