Transferring knowledge on primary dew-point standards
Project Description
In this project, two persons from UME is trained at MIKES and bilateral comparison is carried out between UME and MIKES. The content of the training is:
- primary dew-point standards (especially low range)
- performing dew-point calibrations
- estimating uncertainty in dew-point calibration
The hands-on training is carried out 6 to 10 March 2006. Comparison measurements of MIKES is carried out 6 to 17 March 2006.
Final Report 2007-03-13
In this project, two persons from UME is trained at MIKES and bilateral comparison was carried out between UME and MIKES. The content of the training was:
- primary dew-point standards (especially low range)
- performing dew-point calibrations
- estimating uncertainty in dew-point calibrations
The hands-on training was carried out 6 to 10 March 2006. Comparison measurements of MIKES were carried out 6 to 17 March 2006. Measurements at UME were completed in February 2007.
The mean difference between the laboratories is within ±0.15 °C in the whole range from -20 °C to +60 °C. The estimated expanded uncertainty (k=2) of the difference is 0.20 °C at 20 °C and 40 °C, and 0.30 °C elsewhere. The results will be reported in the Tempmeko 2007 Conference.
