Bilateral comparison of ultrasonic power standards

UME has established national standard for the ultrasonic power measurements by means of radiation force balance. UME has an intention to submit CMC data for regional and interregional review. CMC entries have to be supported by the results of an international comparison. UME requested for the comparison within EUROMET or bilateral comparison with any of the participant of CCAUV.U-K1. Ultrasonic power measurements of two transducers will be performed. LiNbO3 crystal based transducers, which were fabricated at UME, will be used as transfer standards. Power and frequency combinations are as follows:

• 100 mW and 1 W at 1 MHz,· 100 mW at 3 MHz
• 100 mW at 5 MHz.

Participants will declare radiation conductance values for transducers at each power-frequency combination. Then the comparison reference value, the degree of equivalence of each participant with respect to reference value and mutual degree of equivalence will be calculated.
