Characterisation of ac-dc transfer thermal converters with an FRDC source

Project Description

The aim of the project is to give national laboratories the possibility to perform measurements with a Fast Reversed DC Source. These measurements will enable to characterise the ac-dc transfer errors arising from thermal effects in thermal converters which are used for primary reference work in these laboratories. This characterisation will in turn add confidence in the field of ac-dc transfer measurements among the participants.

From the practical point of view, 1 or 2 units of the FRDC Source will be circulated among interested laboratories, with a typical duration of 3 months per laboratory.
