Comparison Issues
Project Description
We are all involved in discussing issues related to Key Comparisons and many questions have been raised which are common to a number of subject fields in international metrology. At the EUROMET meetings in Helsinki, February 2000, it was agreed that a project should be set up to collate the issues and our views. The object is not to make policy but rather interpret, or seek interpretation, from existing rules and documentation. Where it appears that no such rules or documentation exist we can consider reporting our thoughts and concerns to the EUROMET Interdisciplinary Metrology Group for information or to otherwise seek guidance.
The project was agreed at the EUROMET Contact Persons meeting in Helsinki, February 2000, where the Rapporteur said that all EUROMET member countries active in the field of Mass & Related Quantities should be considered to be participants.
Final Report 2004-03-05
This project was set up as a forum in which to discuss general topics relating to Key Comparisons and the MRA. Issues relating to the MRA are now much clearer and information more readily available. As this forum has not been used in the last two years it has been decided to close the project.
