Comparison of Mass Standards for South East European Countries (SEE)
Project Description
This key comparison is proposed to act as a follow-up to the EURAMET 445 "Comparison of Mass Standartds in Multiples and Submultiples of the Kilogram" and will be linked to both EUROMET.M.M-K4 and EUROMET.M.M-K2 via BEV (Austria) and EIM (Greece).
This comparison is also a KCDB key comparison, registered as EURAMET.M.M-K4.2 for 1 kg and EURAMET.M.M-K2.2 for the nominal weights of 500 g, 20 g, 2 g and 100 mg.
This comparison is specially for the South East European countries (SSE) and was suggested in the 1st Meeting of EURAMET Focus Group on Facilitating national Metrology infrastructure.

The comparison includes weights of 1 kg, 500 g, 20 g, 2 g, 100 mg.

The comparison has been completed and results are published in the KCDB.

March to September: stability tests of the weights
June to September 2009: technical protocol
The comparison started: 25. September 2009.
The measurements were finished in March 2010.
Participants have transmitted their results. The reference value was formed by BEV and EIM.
The first results were available at the end of March 2010. Draft A report was published on 25th May 2010. September 2010 - January 2011 implementation of the comments, Link the EURAMET project 1120 to EURAMET M.M-K2 and EURAMET M.M-K4 (adding corrections and uncertainty from the key comparisons).
Draft B was sent for comments to participants: 7th February 2011. The final draft will be discussed at the EURAMET meeting 2011 (2nd March to 4th March 2011 in Malta).
Publication is planned in May/June 2011.
