Comparison of sub-multiples of the kilogram

Project Description

The objectives of the comparison are to facilitate the demonstration of metrological equivalence between the participating national laboratories, and to check the capabilities of MBM and HMI to publish or improve, respectively, their calibration measurement capabilities (CMC).

The transfer standards for this comparison comprise three stainless steel cylindrical weights with a knob (OIML R111 design) of the following nominal masses: 200 g, 20 g, 2 g, and one German silver rectangular sheet weight (OIML R111 design) of the nominal mass 200 g.

Final Report 2019-04-05

The project has been completed and the results are available at the KCDB.

Draft B was circulated among participants in April 2018. There were no additional comments to Draft B report so the report is considered as final report.

Progress Report 2018-04-16

Participants have agreed on Draft A report and Draft B was prepared.

Progress Report 2017-07-06

Measurements were completed in November 2015. Amended Draft A report was circulated among the participants in April 2017. Reporting is taking longer than planned due to analysis if the instability of 200 mg weight.

Progress Report 2016-06-02

Measurements were completed in November of 2015. Draft A report was circulated among the participants in the beginning of May 2016.

Progress Report 2015-05-15

The technical protocol and measurement report are prepared. Measurement of the transfer standards are under way - measurement already performed by MIRS, HMI, MBM, currently measurements are performed at IMBIH.
