Cooperation of European NMIs t&f laboratories in EMRP/A169 project calls

Project Description

The aim of the project is to coordinate consultations among TC-TF members in order to identify potential subjects and opportunities on replies to future EMRP/A169 Calls. Coordination will include consultation on proposed ideas for project topics, as well as identification of capacities and expressed roles in identified project cooperation. The project would serve as a TC-TF consultation forum on EMRP/A169 projects, related to time and frequency.

The aim of the project was to coordinate consulting among TC-TF members for EMRP/A169 calls, following a EURAMET and EMRP Committee clear objective of increasing the individual TC role in implementing the Programme. The project attracted an important number of participating partners, which were interested in exchanging both informations about the programme as well as ideas for possible project proposals. Informations about the programme were regularly sent through e-mail and were also discussed at regular TC-TF meetings. Ideas for possible project proposals were collected and discussed further among all project partners and wider among all TC-TF partners. However, certain projects were nevertheless initiated outside this project for various reasons. At the beginning, the project served better as the collaboration within EMRP was new but later this need became much weaker. Also, after first consortia for t&f were formed and successful projects were granted, the need for a project based coordination diminished and other forms of successful communication prevailed. It was determined that the project has done its original mission and is no longer needed despite a new program EMPIR was launched in 2014.
