Harmonization of the uncertainty budget for gravimetric volume calibration

Project Description

There are several different approaches to uncertainty calculation in calibration of volumetric instruments when using the gravimetric method. In order to have comparable results the laboratories should have a harmonised evaluation of uncertainty components and data analysis.

The main purpose of this project is to elaborate a guideline document in the determination of the uncertainty in gravimetric volume calibration.

This cooperation project was concluded in September 2009 and from this work a EURAMET Calibration Guide was created "Guidelines on the determination of uncertainty in gravimetric volume calibration".
