Intercomparison of spectral irradiance scales with new travelling standards
Project Description
Test of newly developed detector-stabilized standard lamps used as travelling standards
Final Report 2004-04-26
The spectral irradiance of lamp standards can be stabilized within a limited spectral range by using a suited selective detector to control the lamp’s irradiance. The capability of one commercially available lamp facility incorporating a computer-controlled power supply was tested in an international comparison. A set of three lamps and a detector-stabilized power supply were circulated between PTB Braunschweig/Germany, HUT Helsinki/Finland and SP Borås/Sweden for the comparison. The investigated wavelength range was from 250 nm to 2500 nm. The lamp type was FEL 1000 W. The merits of this newly developed transfer standard facility (brand: OMTec, lamp: TSL1000, power supply TSS1000) have been confirmed: the stated deviations of the reference measurements before and after circulation to the participants are well within the detection limits of the reproducibility of the reference measurements at the PTB.The complete results are published in the paper:K.
