The gateway to Europe's
integrated metrology community.

On-site visit by external technical experts in the fields of metrology in chemistry and length

All the NMIs and DIs participating CIPM MRA have to operate a QMS in conformity with ISO/IEC 17025 to support their measurement and calibration activities. The goal of the project is to review the measurement capabilities of the laboratories in GUM, including the delcared measurement uncertainty in some specific fields of metrology; detect, analyse and resolve possible metrological problems of the laboratories and also learn from each other and share the best practice for QMS implementation. The project will concern the field of chemistry (pH and electrolytic conductivity) and dimensional metrology (various dimensional; index of refraction: refractometer for optical material). The project will take place in 2015/2016 and contain on-site peer visits in GUM.
