PTB-VTT MIKES DN100 comparison

Project Description

The purpose of the Supplementary Comparison SC for water flow measurement is to support the Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC) entry of VTT MIKES, the National Metrology Institutes of Finland.
For this goal a bilateral comparison for water flow within the range 30 m³/h to 200 m³/h will be realized between VTT MIKES and PTB Braunschweig. The laboratory 'Hydrodynamic Test Field' of the department 1.5 “Liquid Flow” of PTB will act as the reference facility.

Final Report 2022-02-14

The comparison has been completed and results are available in the KCDB.

The purpose of the comparison was to support the CMC entry of VTT MIKES. The measurements were done between July 2021 and February 2022. The reference laboratory was the PTB. The results of the comparison showed good equivalences, and the normalised degree of equivalence value was well below one. Thus, the comparison results supports the CMC claim of VTT MIKES (Expanded laboratory uncertainty is 0.05).
