Sensitivity Transfer Standards for Form Measuring Instruments

Project Description

At the EUROMET TC Length meeting in Budapest in October 2001 it was proposed to establish a comparison of sensitivity standards for form measuring instruments.

This comparison shall be the first one dealing with multi-wave standards which embody superimposed spatial harmonic waves on a cylindrical body. Therefore a special task shall be the evaluation of the performance with respect to uncertainty and usability of such kind of artifacts dealing as sensitivity transfer standard in comparison to the well-known flick standards (cylinders with a flat).

The measurands shall be form deviation for all artifacts and amplitude height of the dominating spectral lines for the multi-wave standards.
