Supplementary comparison of force standards from 10 kN to 500 kN

Bilateral compression force comparison to support FSB-LIMS CMC for their 500 kN reference force standard machine. Compressive force, incremental and decremental, at 20 °C.
100 kN HBM Z4A transducer serial number 092530012, 500 kN HBM Z4A transducer serial number 122330005, and HBM DMP 40 serial number 122020096. 10 kN to 100 kN (10 kN steps) and 50 kN to 500 kN (50 kN steps).

The comparison has been completed and results are published in the KCDB.

The final report demonstrates support for FSB-LIMS’s claimed CMC of 0.05 %.

Progress Report 2020-12-04

The physical measurements were made at the two participating laboratories between May 2019 and September 2019, with the first draft of the report being completed in November 2019. Due to staff changes at FSB-LIMS, feedback on the draft report has been lacking – this situation has been remedied and Draft A should be completed shortly.
