Supplementary comparison of magnetic field strength measurements for frequencies up to 30 MHz
Project Description
Magnetic field probes are widely utilised in the measurement of non-ionising radiation magnetic fields emanating from high voltage lines, high voltage power transformers, welding or induction heating equipment and in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing (IEC 62233 and IEC 62311) and other applications in the frequency range of 5 Hz – 1 GHz. Therefore, the calibration of magnetic field probes is of fundamental importance for the traceability of the magnetic field measurements. They must be calibrated by National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) or accredited calibration laboratories in accordance with international standards such as IEEE 1309.
